Environmental and Sustainability Policy
P05 Version 1.0
Effective: 01/10/27
Review due: 30/09/27
MBR Mobility Advisory Ltd will manage the environmental effects of its consultancy activities and provide evidence-based advice within agreed assignments. This policy covers business travel, office and remote work, purchasing and the environmental aspects of consultancy recommendations.
Our operating commitments
We will comply with applicable environmental requirements, prevent avoidable waste and use resources responsibly. We will favour remote meetings where they meet the client’s needs, combine journeys where practical and consider public transport before higher-impact travel. Where travel is needed for effective site assessment, we will plan it efficiently and consider accessibility, safety and commercial constraints.
We will minimise unnecessary printing, extend equipment life where safe and practical, use authorised routes for electrical waste and consider supplier environmental information in proportion to the purchase. We will not replace functioning equipment solely to create a sustainability claim.
Advice to clients
Where environmental performance is within scope, we will consider operational suitability, energy use, infrastructure constraints, whole-life costs and material lifecycle impacts. Advice on zero-emission vehicles will distinguish tailpipe emissions from wider energy and manufacturing impacts. We will state key assumptions, data limitations and the basis for comparisons.
We will not claim verified carbon savings, carbon neutrality, net zero status or certification without supporting evidence and a clear scope. Any client carbon assessment requiring specialist methodology will be agreed and appropriately resourced.
Measurement and improvement
The Director will establish a proportionate baseline of business journeys and major resource purchases during the first full year following adoption. Records should include travel mode and distance where practicable, relevant equipment purchases and identified improvements. Any emissions estimates will identify conversion factors, reporting boundary and limitations.
We will review the baseline and set realistic improvement actions rather than publish an unsupported reduction target. Progress will be considered annually, including whether travel alternatives were effective and whether recommended changes were implemented.
Accountability and concerns
The Director owns this policy. Associates will receive relevant instructions for an assignment and may suggest improvements. Environmental concerns connected to MBR’s work should be sent to enquiries@mbrmobilityadvisory.com. We will assess them, record appropriate action and review the policy after significant changes or at least annually.
