Equality Diversity and Inclusion Policy
P03 Version 1.0
Effective: 01/10/27
Review due: 30/09/27
Commitment and scope
MBR Mobility Advisory Ltd will treat people fairly and with dignity in its consultancy services, business relationships, and any recruitment. This policy applies to the Director, associates, employees where appointed and subcontractors acting for MBR.
Fair treatment
We will not tolerate unlawful discrimination, harassment, victimization, or bullying. Decisions will be based on relevant competence, evidence, and legitimate service requirements. We recognise the protections relating to age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation, as applicable under the Equality Act 2010.
We expect respectful conduct in meetings, site visits, online communications, and events. We will challenge inappropriate conduct and address concerns proportionately, including where a client or supplier is involved.
Accessible services and working arrangements
We will ask about access needs and consider reasonable adjustments to communications, meetings, recruitment, and service delivery. Options may include accessible document formats, captions, remote attendance, suitable venues and changes to timing or working methods. Requests should be sent to enquiries@mbrmobilityadvisory.com and will be discussed sensitively. We will not request medical detail beyond what is necessary to understand the adjustment.
Recruitment and selection of associates
Where recruiting or appointing associates, MBR will use clear criteria relevant to the role, fair assessment, and accessible application arrangements. We will avoid unjustified requirements that exclude suitable people. Any monitoring information will be voluntary, proportionate, and handled separately from selection decisions where practical.
Application to consultancy work
Our transport advice will consider the needs of different users where relevant to the agreed scope, including disabled passengers and people facing mobility barriers. We will use appropriate evidence and recommend specialist accessibility input where the assignment requires expertise beyond our scope. We will not claim that a review establishes full legal accessibility compliance unless that has expressly been commissioned and competently assessed.
Concerns and accountability
Concerns may be raised confidentially with the Director at enquiries@mbrmobilityadvisory.com. MBR will acknowledge concerns, assess them fairly and agree appropriate action. People raising concerns in good faith will be protected from retaliation. Where the concern involves the Director, independent advice or an appropriate external route may be used.
The Director will review complaints, adjustment requests, and relevant lessons annually, while protecting personal information. Appropriate guidance will be provided to those working for MBR. Corrective action may include changes to processes, additional briefing or ending an engagement in accordance with its terms.
