Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

P08  Version 1.0
Effective: 01/10/27
Review due: 30/09/27

Our commitment

MBR Mobility Advisory Ltd is committed to respecting human rights and preventing slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking in its business and supply chains.

We will not knowingly engage in or support practices that exploit people. We expect everyone working for or supplying MBR to uphold these principles.

Our business and scope

MBR provides independent transport and mobility consultancy, including fleet engineering, maintenance, asset management, operational improvement, procurement support, mobilisation and zero-emission transition.

This policy applies to MBR’s directors, employees where appointed, associates, consultants and subcontractors. It also sets out the standards we expect from suppliers and business partners.

Understanding the risks

We recognise that a professional consultancy can be exposed to modern slavery through subcontracted services, recruitment, purchased equipment, technology, travel and other supporting services.

Transport projects can also involve complex supply chains, including vehicle and component manufacturing, batteries, construction, cleaning, security and outsourced labour. Where relevant to our agreed advisory role, we will raise material concerns and recommend proportionate supplier enquiries.

Supplier and associate checks

We will apply checks proportionate to the nature, location and risk of an engagement. These may include:

  • Verifying the identity and business credentials of suppliers and associates.
  • Reviewing relevant labour practices, policies and available modern slavery statements.
  • Asking additional questions where recruitment arrangements, subcontracting or working conditions indicate increased risk.
  • Including appropriate ethical labour obligations in contracts.
  • Recording concerns, decisions and follow-up actions.

We expect suppliers to cooperate with reasonable enquiries and address identified concerns.

Fair treatment of people

We expect work to be freely chosen and performed under lawful, clearly understood terms. Workers must not be subjected to coercion, debt bondage, unlawful recruitment fees or the withholding of identity documents to restrict their freedom.

We expect lawful pay, working hours and safe working conditions, and prohibit human trafficking, forced labour and unlawful child labour.

Raising concerns and responding

Anyone with a concern connected to MBR’s activities or suppliers can contact the Director at enquiries@mbrmobilityadvisory.com, using the subject line “Confidential — Modern Slavery Concern”.

Concerns will be handled sensitively, with information shared only where necessary to assess the issue, protect people or meet legal obligations. MBR will not tolerate retaliation against anyone raising a concern in good faith.

Where a concern is identified, we will assess the immediate risk to people, seek appropriate advice and involve relevant authorities where warranted. Depending on the circumstances, we may require corrective action, suspend an engagement or end a business relationship. Our response will consider the safety and welfare of affected people.

Anyone in immediate danger should contact the emergency services.

Awareness and review

The Director is responsible for implementing this policy. MBR will provide proportionate guidance to people working on its behalf, particularly those selecting suppliers or managing subcontractors.

We will review this policy annually and following significant changes to our activities or risks. The review will consider supplier checks, concerns raised, corrective actions and any further guidance or training needed.
